Tuesday28 September. The test piece fired too brightly. We left the cup beside the window all afternoon instead of polishing it, and recorded when the shine became too much.

Thursday30 September. Someone leaving for a distant place asked for a bag. Repair thread might not reach them before they return. We tucked an extra roll into the bottom layer.

On copies

An AIRemake catalogue contains a similar cup handle. Not every curve belongs to us, but “smoothed by hand” is not an automatic label. The letter has not been answered.

While working

Only MorrowFM plays. If we mishear a passage, we let it pass. Three sheets of sandpaper stay on the bench.
